ALOHA Canada Makes Its Mark at ALOHAInternational Competition 2023 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
July 30 marked a historic moment for ALOHA Canada as it participated for the first time in the prestigious ALOHA 2023 International Championship, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event saw participation from nearly 700 students representing around 15 countries, with Canada proudly clinching the highest international honor—the title of Grand Champion.
This remarkable competition challenged participants to solve 70 arithmetic calculations in less than five minutes, covering a wide range of mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, powers, square roots, percentages, and combined operations.
Children and their families from Alberta, Canada, along with ALOHA Director Ms. Rruchi Pachauri, attended the championship as Canada’s official representatives. Their participation not only showcased Canada’s talent but also reflected the growing global reach of the ALOHA program in promoting mental arithmetic and cognitive development.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Founding President Mr. Loh Mun Sung, International Director Ms. Kiran Motwani, and International Expansion Director Mr. Kamal Motwani, who warmly welcomed international ambassadors and delegates to this grand celebration of academic excellence.
The ALOHA program, recognized for its transformative approach to education, hosts this annual championship to foster international camaraderie and provide a platform for young minds to excel in arithmetic. Each year, this global event brings together countries in a spirit of unity and learning.
